For using Navikey we need two abilities: a) storing plain data files as wiki-subpages b) running html applet code. For a): MediaWiki pages can be accessed as raw wiki text using:

* Idea: for a DELTA dataset create a main wiki page, perhaps including uploaded file data, create subpages (like Main/ThisSubpage) for each of CHARS, ITEMS, SPECS, TIMAGES.

* Create a navikey extension, either pointing to a Navikey config.xml (which again will be a wiki page used in raw mode) or try to shortcut this (difficult).

See http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Parameters_to_index.php#Raw for more information. However, the result is considered a php file and titled "index.php". The extension http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:RawFile adds the ability to download portions and give a different filename.

NaviKey is an identification tool for DELTA datasets. The key must have already been created with a software that supports exporting DELTA files. NaviKey requires normally a specially created html page, several DELTA files and a special configuration file, all of which have to be uploaded to a Server. To simplify this process, we installed a special Wiki extension. All DELTA files can either be uploaded to the Wiki or copy/pasted simply into Wiki pages (recommended). For further informationen on NaviKey see navikey.net.
