ISPI Wiki

ISPI Wiki is a wiki of the "International Society for Pest Information (ISPI)". The contact email is name-at-pestinfo.org, replace name with "ispi".

Setup notes

The wiki is set up on a virtual host in /var/www/v-ispi/w/. The virtual host recognizes wiki.pestinfo.org. The Apache-Config can be found under /etc/apache2/sites-available/ispi

The wiki can be reached under http://wiki.pestinfo.org ## TODO: assign domain!

It uses the production version of the biowikifarm mediawiki, i.e. the one used also on this meta, keytonature.eu, etc. Except for the media and cache folders in /var/www/v-ispi/w/, most folders thus link to /usr/share/mediawiki. No changes should be made in /usr/share/mediawiki/phase3, with the exception of adding softlinks inside /usr/share/mediawiki/phase3/extensions. These softlinks point mostly to /usr/share/mediawiki/extensions. Compare existing extension softlinks for examples.

LocalSettings is presently setup to inherit MediaWikiCommonSettings.php and MediaWiki_NonDevSettings.php from ../..

The MySQL 5.0 database is named "ispiwiki", InnoDB, Charset encoding UTF-8. Mysql at localhost:8088, blocked in firewall (can be opened for dedicated IP-numbers);

The wiki admin account is WikiSysop, the password was sent by mail.

Notes

Work on this wiki started on Dec. 13th 2009. We have moved to this server because of poor performance and restrictions in the size of the database on our old server. The first impression is that performance is significantly improved here. We are hoping we will be able to help with the general work at the biowikifarm, but we all still have little experience with the Wikipedia system.
