A Census of the Plants of South Northumberland

‘I declare also the vertues of euery herbe, and shew the place where I have sene it, lest it shuld seme to be one of them which wrytes of thynges, whyche they neuer saw.’ William Turner 1551.

This site gives a list of all those vascular plants that live or have lived in the Vice County of South Northumberland in the United Kingdom. Such a list will help us validate new records and answer some simple questions, such as, how many species grow here? How many of the plants are native and what are the rare plants of the area?
